Cardiff have confirmed that striker Jay bothroyd will not be with the club next season.
The 29yr old, who became the bluebirds first england international when he played against france in november, has failed to agree terms on a new contract with the welsh outfit.
The former Arsenal, Coventry, perugia and wolves forward has been linked with a move to scottish club Celtic.
Winger Chris Burke, who was also out of contract, is another player heading for fresh pastures, while Gavin Rae and Martin John have been released and Adam Matthews has already agreed terms on a switch to Celtic.
" Contracts have not been offered to Jay Bothroyd and Chris Burke following an inability for all parties to agree suitable terms," read a statement from Cardiff, who lost out to Reading in the play-offs last week.
On-loan players Craig Bellamy, Stephen Bywater, Jay Emmanuel - Thomas, Jason Koumas, Seyi Olofinjana and Jlloyd Samuel have all returned to their parent clubs, although Bellamy is keen to return from Manchester City next term.
