The Large Malaysian Gamble

Sun May 22, 2011 10:37 am

As we know never paid off with 2 attempts at premiership football, the same gamble Ridsdale took and failed previously.

What do you feel the financial fall out of all this will be ? Was it the gamble to take with hindsight with our Club?

Is our Club now safe financially ? When do we start asking questions to the actions of the current board?

Hammam has made a good offer from the sounding and statements in the media , are the Club in a financial position to decline it ?

The current board are clueless regards the activity of football, hence the failings . Hammam took the Club from playing Exeter City with Billy Ayre as Manager to the top of the Championship 6 points clear , at a cost of 24 million.

We are quoted today as debts as high as 60 million , the Club has gone backwards in the Championship since the departure of Hammam.

Instead of concerning ourselves with the full sketch we prefer to pontificate on points as pro's and cons and if's on a Hammam return?

Transparent is a word often quoted . Where's the current clarity from the Malaysians to the supporters?

In truth they have failed on the football front despite buying themselves a world wide premiership superstar striker on loan to take them up. They have failed in their selection of this seasons Manager. They have failed in their sanction of signings as a board. They have failed again allowing Matthews to leave un contracted. They have many failings indeed the biggest by far being the Premiership financial gamble of which they based as the financial fruits to resolve .

Many failings that are not even mentioned on this forum , are they deflected simply by the use of the name Hammam?

The only gamble they took was to keep Jones in a job. Could have told them he'd fail but why would they listen to little old me.

Just one of many gambles. Shows their total lack of experience when it comes to football too.
