Too right there Baz what a terrible waste of a player, should have been an integral
part of this year's team yet hardly kicked a ball after Ipswich. I'd have played him for
his throw alone, a secret weapon that was never used.

Not only that but there have been times when we've been short of a right midfielder with quality and Matthews showed he was great going forward as well. In my eyes instead of being helped along and trained to improve he was abandoned and kicked to the curb.

He is the boss. I have no problem with a heavy handed manager who pisses people off. But at the end of all the shouting and alienating there must be success. So that didn't work did it DJ.

When Daglaish was manager of Liverpool first time around he got interviewed after a poor performance by his team. He got the applauds of the pundits because he never slagged off any of his players in front of the cameras. It seems acceptable to have a go at the team as a whole but not to pick out one individual. I have always remembered that and have noticed all the great managers applying it. What DJ did to Matthews after Ipswich was the final nail in the coffin for me regarding him as a manager.
