Dave Jones and Gethin Jenkins met today

The players at the Vale training ground.

When a football club plays it's last game of the season it then has 4 days to submit it's retained players list to the FA, I am told that was the reason for the get together today.

Before anyone says why would DJ be involved in keeping players if he is on his way out and so on, firstly I think it is only right that the club use him as at present he is still the manager of the club and this list has to be done.

If hes still our manager for next season i will be gutted...........Thank you very much dave for steering the club through some dodgy shite over the last 6 years but you have aged me by 10 years. If it was a 1 team division he still would of found a way for us not to get promoted. BYE BYE BUTT!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea when the names will be made public? If any big names (high earners) are made available who are still under contract, it may give a pointer to the future.
