This means that the FA can find them 18 point deduction now. It will leave QPR fighting for the last play off against Leeds I believe. QPR will accept that, the play offs will be safe and the FA will not have ot worry about any claim compensation from anyone.

That have to take points off them other wise it would be a sham , after all if the FA just fine them ,what the hell would they care, cos they will get 90 mil for going up anyway. so a fine of even 50k would be nothing to them ,so they must take points from them.

The think is it needs to be a sufficient deduction to make it look like they have been punished if found guilty. We have been over this many times but it is all in place for a 18 point deduction if found guilty. It is the ideal scenario for the FA because it means they could still not qualify for the play offs.
It is pointless given them a punishment if it means they go up as champions or in an auto spot. Putting them in a play off place is feasible for some but would those that miss out like Leeds. Take into mind that Leeds are big enough to take the FA to court specially going on the history between them. So leaving them a chance to qualify for a play off place against a team that could hassle the FA, that is Leeds, then it is the perfect scenario.
