I've been to the Cayman Islands, which are the next Islands along (and I've drunk the rum)! :ayatollah:

Yep - went to Ocho Rios a few years ago, to the sandals resort. Amazing hotel, long transfer though.

My personal advice would be to stay on the complex! It's pretty lethal out there. If you get a chance go and walk up Dunns River Falls - me and the mrs loved it, great fun!

Stayed near montego bay. Best tip is to stay at your hotel, and only go out on official, escorted trips. And whatever you do, don't get ill or injured.

All i have heard is too stay away from alleyways and dont go into area's with no tourists.

Captain Henry Morgan (old Rumney boy) as been there, but I think it may have changed a little since then, mind you don't be suprised to see Cardiff City on tour 1824 sprayed on a few walls, apparently he was a hell of a boy. ;)

We went to Ochos Rhios a few years ago. Great holiday. Make sure you go and visit Bob Marley's house. Top trip. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

1824 - you're almost 2 centuries out there I'm afraid - try the 1660's

Yeah, went about 9 years ago Ochio Rhios stayed in the Jamaica Grand hotel.

Agree that a must is to go up the Dunns River falls, enjoyed Bob Marley musesum in Kingston, another really good trip was a jeep safari, took us up to see the Blue Moutain Coffee and went on a Rum tasting trip excellent :) :)

Safari is a long day mind and very bumpy ride.

Also a good evening trip is the Blue lagoon, i think thats what is called, you get to swim in the lagoon and everthing lights up what an experience

I mirror what others have said about going out, best to go out with a guide or on an organised trip, that's what we did.

We did venture once on our own, to the local market and it was a nightmare, locals hassle tourists alot and can be intimidating.

Anyway have a good time, one of the best holidays i have ever had. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
