New Academy FA Regulations and Directive .

Centre of Excellences to be graded as Academies .

Academies to be graded into 4 cats.

Cat 1.

Cat 2.

Cat 3

Cat 4.

Cardiff will need to spend another extra 500k plus to be a Cat 2.

New other ruling which will effect Cardiff City. The FA are doing away with the 90 minute ruling , that kids HAVE to go to a local Academy. They will now be able to go where they wish. This means Cardiff will find it harder to keep players and be more of a feeder Club for Cat A. Teams. 30k is from what i understand the maximum a Cat A will have to pay compo for any player. ( will double check that in the morning).

This means now all very good talent will go to Cat A at any age instead of the current restrictions.

I have got this second hand so to speak from Arsenal regards the travelling distances etc but it all sounds plaudable.

Cat 1. Clubs will also be allowed to have holding centres too in local areas apparantly to save the kids travelling.

Gethin Jenkins bad attitude will not assist matters either . Where he has totally worked against those who actually were trying to assist but banned them, now have the earliest options possible to take players of any age to any Club.

Another Jenkins blunder to the detriment of Cardiff City.
