As the film said League 2 already have a wage cap of 60% of turnover. I'm sure in the next few years it is planned to apply that rule to the rest of the Football League and Premiership.

Currently we turnover £16.9m and have a total wage bill (including social sercurity payments) of £16.7m or 99% of turnover.

Under the new rules our wage bill would need to be trimmed to £10.14m provided our turnover remained the same.

We might actually do better. Jones seems to find the best players when his hands are tied behind his back.

I remember doing a questionaire on how much clubs should pay in wages for the F.A.I said that only 60% should be paid :ayatollah: :ayatollah: to everyone with all teams putting money in to there own academys to produce players. They should all be run as a buisness not wasted on short term gains. Also there should be a wages cap they earn to much compared to the normal fan who lives in the real world.

Oh god, socialist politics again :p

When normal fans can play football, then demand pay equality

Any cap based on turnover is utterly ridiculous. utterly. All that does is benefit bigger teams - if people merely want a permanent increase between bigger and smaller clubs, that's the way to do it.

As for a salary cap, I've yet to hear of an industry that caps it's wages due to moral indignation.. nor should they.
