In yesterdays Echo, Carl says and explains why City will get the second automatic spot, I am liking your optimism Carl, fair play you have remained consistent throughout, I hope you are right

I believe as long as we don't lose more than 4 pts from the 21 left - then we WILL take 2nd
Sun Apr 03, 2011 11:27 am
we will finish second
remember who swansea and norwich still have to play
Sun Apr 03, 2011 11:29 am
1 down 7 to go. !!
We win 7 games of football and its premiership.
Play offs get lively as well. Fair play to reading. I thought forest were on for second after beating us a month back. funny game football.

Carls on drugs.

Obviusly depends on Norwich dropping points.
Can we string a run of wins togerher thats the question.

I agree with Carl, I think we will finish second. Predicted a 4-0 victory in the pub before the game yesterday, wasn't far off

Of course they are. Imagine this'crazy'scenario next week-we beat Doncaster and Swansea beat Norwich(which i firmly believe will happen), then we're down to a whopping ONE POINT GAP
There will still be Cardiff fans who will still claim that''ll be too big of a margin to close, although the confused mind-changers will forget about the'Jones out'comments to'i think we could get promoted'. It's mental reading both our boards sometimes
We've probably got, let's just say the most'unique'fans in the country.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:23 pm
hope carl is right, but i think for us to finish 2nd we need to either drop mcphail or if he does play we've got to have 5 in midfield

Sorry but Play offs for us
Derby could have scored a few yesterday & they were an abysmal team

4-1 not good enough for you then? You're one of the mental Cardiff fans i alluded to

YES

Playoffs for us. Sorry but anyone who thinks Norwich will drop points, enough for us to catch up, is deluded.

LMFAO - If you believe everything Carl tells you - You are the numpty
The game is about opinions - mine is we are simply not consistent enough

A very good point about consistantcy there. Under DJ I cant remember when we have ever been so inconsistant. Adding to that you bring in the bottle factor and yes it certainly would not surprise me if its the play offs for us.
I think there is enough there to point to a play off spot. Just because we get a win at home against a very weak side, well I dont think there is anything mental saying we will miss out on an auto place.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 2:56 pm
If we win next week i will have a bit more faith because beating derby was expected, next week it will be a different test for our players, we didnt have to get into second gear yesterday to beat them one of the oorest sides to come to us this season

??? Carl hasn't told me anything. I'm old and ugly enough to make my own mind up
It was 4-1 for fcuk sake. I appreciate that the large majority of Cardiff fans are idiots and only a 7-0 win with a 95%possession rate would suffice for them, but it was the same Derby side that recently put Swansea to the sword.Like you, I know we haven't been consistent enough, but we're still in with a massive shout and yesterday will be the start of a winning run
Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:03 pm
I wouldn't sat 2-1 was taken to the sword - Swansea outplayed them from the reports
But IF derby were that good why didn't they take any of the sitters they had
4-1 on paper was a great result BUT defence was sloppy yesterday and we will play better teams then derby on the run in

Agreed, but we did more than enough to soundly beat them. Concentration lets us down at the back, but we're no worse than any of the top sides in that respect. We've got to be happy with some quality individual displays at Millwall and yesterday. I mentioned last week that getting Oli back for the last twenty minutes of the Barnsley game could be the turning point. Weve looked far more balanced since
Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:20 pm
yep agreed but Hudson is going to be a big loss
Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:23 pm
If we can handle pressure and the scum and norwich slip up then it should be a walk in the park
Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:36 pm
As with most seasons, a team has come from pretty much nowhere and
are making a massive surge for promotion. This season its Norwich, a few
months ago they were nowhere, now they are 4 points clear of us, and
we,ve been right up there all season.
So, irrespective of who has the easiest run in. Its all about who the most
consistent side are. I can see Norwich losing a couple in the home straight.
But just cannot envisage us going on a seven match unbeaten run.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:36 pm
After yesterday, I think we can push on take second with Norwich slipping up.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 4:48 pm
playoff's for me can't see others messing up like we seem to do. Hope im wrong
