If Tom Heaton Is Back For The Derby Game -

Tue Mar 22, 2011 10:14 am

then the Bluebirds are going to get promoted at least that is what the statistics point to.

Having checked the number of points won when Tom has been in goal this season we have collected 44 of the 69 points on offer, or to put it another way 64% of the points available. Tom has also been the keeper during our best 2 runs of the season where we collected 19 from a possible 21 points 90% and 17 points from 24 71%. Repeats of either of those runs will I believe automatic promotion.

In comparison David Marshall when in goal has collected 17 points from a possible 36 or 47% now as David is injured he doesn't really come into the equation. But Stephen Bywater has collected only 2 points from a possible 12 on offer only 17%.

Perhaps losing Tom Heaton for the last 4 games has been more of a miss than we have realised as he does seem to have provided a solid base at goalkeeper and I for one wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him in goal on April 2 and for the remainder of the season. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
