I would sooner have seen Martyn Margetson come out of retirement for a month. David James, Van der Sar and Leman have proved you can still play at 40, besides which Margetson is younger. We know he can kick a decent ball watching the players warm up before a game.

Wise up, mate....the alternative was Hudson, McNaughton or Bellers. If the best (loose term) he could get was Heaton and Brown then that's what he got

Played less games than Bywater!

In feb when Heaton was in goals we only conceded 5 goals in 7 games, keeping clean sheets against Swansea, Scunthorpe, Leicester and Hull. With Heaton making some cracking saves. Since Bywater has been in goal we have conceded 8 goals in 4 games.I havent seen Bywater make a good save yet.

I think a goalkeeper should be vocal, command the box and order the defenders around, and I dont think Bywater does it. I thought that Brown would have been given a chance today, given that Bywater hasnt looked soild.
