Two partners of M&A Solicitors LLP, Alan Whiteley and Eric Evans, have today been suspended with immediate effect. This action arises from a single transaction involving a client of the firm that is under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office.

The Firm acted diligently by referring matters to the authorities and the Serious Fraud Office's investigation follows on from our referral. We are co-operating with the Serious Fraud Office's investigation and due to the on-going nature of that investigation we are unable to provide further information at this time.

We wish to reassure our clients that this is an isolated incident. We are committed to providing our clients with the best service possible, and we are working with clients to ensure that business will continue as normal.

I'll be shocked if anything comes of this! Alan Whitely is an honest, straight up bloke and would never knowingly get involved in anything remotely dodgy!

That's the impression all white collar fraudsters give.

No smoke without fire but I won't jumpt to any conclusions until the investiagtion is complete, and any charges are dealt with at court.

Give the man his due, he's innocent until proven guilty.

Seems like they done the right thing by referring it to the authorities, but why they would be suspened who knows?
But if they are on bail, well!!!!!!!
