season renewal question

As I understand it we have until end of March if we want to renew our exisiting seats. I plan to move to get a seat next to some lads I know still within the Canton. My question is I know that already there is a spare seat that is not held by a season ticket holder next to my mate and its the one that I would like to get , can I ring the club say next week and say I'd like that seat and pay for it. Or....or do i have to wait until April 1st and face a possible price hike etc....

thought it was march the 2nd?, i renewed mine, it still got ninian park ,sloper road on my receipt
