Yesterday on the pitch at half time you may have seen the young kids playing, they were Marshfield fc under 10's. Thankfully the kids enjoyed their day but for the organiser things did not run so smoothly. I understand that Marshfield paid £1200 to play on the pitch at half time and another £300 for tickets for the parents to watch their children. I am told that the booking was originally placed with Gethin Jenkins and that is was agreed the kids would play on the centre of the pitch and would do a lap of honour at the end of their play.
I learned on Friday that early last week they were informed that they could not play on the pitch due to the state of the pitch and that the club wanted no further damage caused. I understand that despite several attempts to contact Gethin the organiser became very annoyed and upset at the whole situation. It appears that Scott Young became involved and literally saved the day as the saying goes. The kids who were meant to play in front of their parents played at the opposite end of the ground but at least they did get to play I suppose and despite being told earlier otherwise in the week, the youngsters were eventually allowed to do their lap of honour. It was not the fact they were told they could not play on the pitch as they understood the reasons but I am told they were disappointed at what they thought they were being ignored by our Chief Executive, maybe Gethin has his reasons but that is the story as I am told it.
I know the club has offered the parents and children back to see another home fixture and I understand that the organiser has actually been satisfied despite the apparent lack of care and service leading up to and as late as Friday evening.

Why would the CEO be the point person for organising a group sale like this?

Because he likes to oversea everything(Which is right) and he also took control over Suzanne Twamleys job when she left.

That wont change. The view is great. That could change if i cant afford to get the cash for march 31st.The team are doing just about enough to entertain me.That can change if we try and play football. What wont change is the way the club treat us.I didnt go yesterday , i couldnt summon up the energy and excitement that i had for the last 38 years. Maybe , im just growing out of the sordid commercialism that the sport has adopted.I cant change .If i am to be a regular at the" coldest place on earth " , the club have got to treat us like we matter. moan, moan,i know, but its just not the same anymore.Help me get through this or i could be doing something better instead.

Annis I would say if the CEO is organizing group events, our problems could be bigger than we thought.
He was given a 1 yr contract, the word behind the scenes was that Suzanne was made redundant and he has been learning her job and if not given a 2nd year, that was the job he would maybe be given, but thats just the gossip with his staff.
