Was in goal for their friendly with Barnsley reserves today.

Blades lost 6-1 and Carroll got sent off!

and before you ask, it was 6-0 when he got sent off

From what I read, many Sheff Utd fans have complained, their reserves seem to be a "development squad", ages between 19-23, not the usual - fringe first teamers, players needing match fitness.

The Barnsley team they lost to had a good 7-0 win vs Rotherham the week before.

But still, I'm sure Carroll was at fault for the 4 goals conceded when he, errm, wasn't on the pitch...

Heh, no worries.

Fact is, in front of kids, Adams clearly doesn't take "reserves" seriously, against a decent reserve side, first game, can't necessarily read much into it.

Whereas, the competitive games Brown has played ( ie basically this season ), common complaints seem to be can be a good stopper - at times; impetuous - saved a penalty, but conceded it by going feet first into attacker, getting into a scrap; very poor distribution; poor attitude.

That's why, for me, this crucial stage of the season, we really need a guy with experience. Carroll is one example; I'm sure there are others but I really can't be arsed thinking of any...
