What an extraordinary piece of television. Visually breathtaking and totally inspiring. The human spirit, and comaradery is unbelievable. Imagine walking your kids to school on a 100 km journey through frozen rivers and avalanches!

Amazing mate, those under water hunters at the beginning of the series, hold there breath for 5 min at the bottom of the sea. And their children can see better underwater than above.

Best programme on T.V. for a long time. DVD is now out so for those who missed it, its well worth buying. Brilliant.
Those kids on a 6 day trek to school last night unbelievable, I can see our kids doing that too

Planet Earth set the standard and now BBC feels it has to live up to that expectations for every major documentary series now. I am not the biggest fan of the BBC but fair play, their documentaries like this are flawless.
