Theres an event happening in the CIA in March.

A friend in uni's brother does alot of the promo for it, his name is Ricky Wright, he's like a ring annoncer I think all over europe, not too sure, but he's on youtube doing this stuff

- A fully matted 26'x26' floor space, fully enclosed with caged walls

City road has a good MMA club,
theirs also daves gym off albany road, (its good their because you can do your own thing aswel any time)
also dumbells road by station, train station 2 fitness centre, mike swambo he's an old school trainer very good trains people from scratch/beginner.

To be honest though if you really wana do something worthwhile why not do white collar boxing, you can compete at any level or age, can always get matched, none of this gay stuff where you have to fondle around on the floor for an hour, and you will get in much better physical shape boxing

Clearly a comment from someone that knows very little or nothing about MMA

check out valley of kings on facebook (they are the company running events in cia etc as mentioned above) and branch out from there. one of my mates is a fighter with them and does a bit of sessioning etc too so search for lew long on fb also!

I know enough to know the amount of time they waste on technique training and grappling is no comparison, to a 5 mile run 12 rounds, pads, sparring and usually weights to finish a pro boxing work out,

pro MMA bit of grappling technical stuff, their kicking isn't usually great unless theyve come from martial arts background and very experienced,
they arent very good boxers, you see meat heads in the gym who think its all about MMA having failed to ever make boxing, most leave within weeks the others stay and never become anyting great, apart from a handfull of fighters

^^^I guess you missed James Toney being tapped out in seconds by a 46 year old Randy Couture.....

And you missed out sub defence, wrestling etc.

We had a great class tonight.

We have 4 fighters getting ready for fights in May & June.
