Just trawl through the archives of the Swansea Evening Post. You'll see who was running who. Jackanory.

They've had some small results over the years. The best Swansea mobs that came into Cardiff were for a friendly in 1991 and an autoglass cuptie the season after. It was years before Cardiff started having the big mobs again. The late 80s/early 90s was a period where we'd be lucky to turn up in Swansea with 50 lads. The FA cup game changed that. Still the biggest mob of Cardiff I've seen. We took 3,000 there and most of the away end was boys. We were having it with them outside Swansea guild hall at 10 in the morning(3pm ko). A one off day that'll never be repeated.

They can say what they like about their little results. We smashed them when it mattered

You have got to laugh, they are clutching at straws.

FA CUP 91 - No excuses, this was the one day it was a free for all

And it was totally one sided, as citygent said 'When it mattered' there was only one winner :ayatollah:

I was at the early 90's one's

The ldv one 1993ish they got hammered by the Ninian Bridge and got taken in the ground with a large police escort.they looked relieved.
The other one that was the night game the 1.0 garry thompson game when they threw seats at the families in the Lower Grandstand.
They did do the Owain Glydwr pub at 1am with no one in it! before a night game, again they got hammered after.

City Gent Wrote 80s/early 90s was a period where we'd be lucky to turn up in Swansea with 50 lads.

eh! 1988 we took loads! Early 90's ie 1991 we took 3k with probably 2.99k being lads!

I was at the Vetch, Jan 1st 1988, was about 3000 City fans then, out of a crowd of 9560. Also at the famous New years day game 1980, atleast 5000 City then.

Re: swansea jack army

FAO Placid Casual. I obviously agree about 91 as we took the place over for the day. What I meant was, the boys who went there and had it with them toe to toe during the league games late 80s was small in numbers compared to later on. 88 was the new years day game where it was a 11.30 kick off so no surprise there nobody made it into the town(over 2,000 in the ground though). Hammered them everywhere at the Cardiff v Wrexham cup final outside the north bank. That season we took 700 fans there for the second leg of the littlewoods cup(the swimaway night),then a year later or the Easter bank holiday game, the mob of Cardiff was 40-50 that got done by the guild hall. The time Fxxxxn from Neath got beaten unconscious by the cunts. All the early kickoff times had a lot to do with it, then the FA Cup miraculously they gave us a 3pm kickoff-no restrictions. Imagine that nowadays ;-)

The next season we took 3000 there in the welsh cup, but after the game outside the Glamorgan to the Jack, there was only 40-50 on either side. Everyone else got escorted to the buses and train. It wasn't long after that we got banned from there, and vice versa. Since then, the powers that be have brought in the lovely bubbles. I'm sure they'll let their guard down again one day though!

Yep that was the game where a Jack Barsteward threw half a brick at me outside the prison and missed! Once he had thrown the brick 'i said come on then' he turned on his heels and run like a little girl typical Jerk

that friendly they caught us a bit on the hop
the late 80's there were many small groups of city making their own was over jackland and doing their own thing, added up there were a lot more than 50 lads up for it. there was a good mob of city lording it in their centre stand one game.
the mumbles road was where it was at ;)

I was gutted after the friendly and the autoglass tie. Close to tears.

The friendly they had a good 80 and walked off the train straight to Canton. One of the only times I'll give them their due. They went in the Kings and got to the Corp, legging a few of us on the way. Tracy walked in the Corp and offered everyone out. There was barely 30 in there but none of our big hitters. The police turned up and escorted them to the ground. Although nothing really happened, that was a big result for them. A few months later, we paid them back in full ;-)

" Always had a go ???? Your either 10 and been listening to your old mans lies .....or your a ghost writer for Anus Abrahams"
http://forum.planetswans.co.uk/viewtopi ... a&start=80

"Wales games hey what happened when Auntie Anus and the nasty dole crew turned up in Morriston for the first Wales game at the Liberty got rumbled did they stand and fight when outnumbered NO asked Mr Policeman "please take us to the ground before the nasty jacks get us". Hence only interested when numbers in your favour my little inbred friend".
http://forum.planetswans.co.uk/viewtopi ... a&start=96

also
"Cardiff have the reputation but Swansea have the boys." Cass Pennant

one says but I generally go to a Wales game to watch wales. typical.

In 2006 there were 30,000 plus jacks in your city.....twice so you had your chances.
