Please can we have a goalkeeper in the sales
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:02 pm
He slipped. Fair play.
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:03 pm
I don't blame him for the slip, that could happen to any keeper but I though his decision making and kicking was at time poor.
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:04 pm
Can't agree with you mate, as he had no chance with the first goal, he slipped for the second goal (which could have happened to anybody) and dealt superbly with several awful back passes!
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:04 pm
Early distribution is non existent
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:10 pm
i much rather marshall,
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:18 pm
Heaton is the best 'keeper we've had for a long time.
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:18 pm
personally i think both keepers we have are on a level playing field and are as good as one and other in retrospect!

Just as well you don't pick the team then
as Marshall would have stayed on his line for all those back passes, which would have put no pressure on their forwards!

He's not even Championship standard. He will let the rest of the side down often.
He was here before and was always slipping, if you haven't forgotten. That's bad technique.
I'd place him in the bottom 6 or 7 in this division.

Best keeper we have had - A free that nobody wants
I think not

The pitch is terrible.

Get your facts right.... Man u offered him extension he signed for us instead
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:45 pm
Im more worried how he had that much time to cross with being closed down tbh
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:49 pm
Right he chose us over MAN UTD
Maybe he was offered a steward job & MAN UTD
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:49 pm
Both Marshall and Heaton are good shot stoppers (like Alexander) but are poor when comes to commanding the penalty box (like Alexander)
Of the 2 I would prefer Heaton, but he was very poor today.
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:50 pm
Both keepers are quite poor. Weak link.

Yeah?
Its not unusual for a player to want to drop down the leagues in search of playing time rather than being 3rd or 4th choice at a bigger club.
Heaton and Marshall are certainly good enough for this division
Sat Jan 22, 2011 6:54 pm
he slipped for god sake it can happen to anyone. anyway 3 points lets rock and roll

i agree. i no heaton can some times look abit dodgy, he has mind pulled some marvalous saves.
and loads of times hes put his body on the line and has made himself big and kept them out
Sat Jan 22, 2011 7:08 pm
We should never be aloud to moan at our keepers after dimi constantdropalot
Sat Jan 22, 2011 10:31 pm
Heatons kicking is shit and he should have saved their second goal
Sat Jan 22, 2011 10:40 pm
i think heaton is the best keeper we've had for years!
he's improved massively from the last time we had him!
Sun Jan 23, 2011 12:32 am
Heatons kicking is Shit.... I don't think so
He's one of the best in this division very rarely slices and when
In a tight situation stays calm and always gets his laces behind the ball...
Much prefer Heaton for this reason.....
Sun Jan 23, 2011 1:39 am
Marshall is a lot better at shot stopping than Heaton and to be honest I would rather see him between the sticks, not just due to the fact that he's not going to get/very rarely gets beaten at an acute angle, but his anticipation is better than Heaton's.
Sun Jan 23, 2011 1:52 am
Heaton is class.
...but in all fairness his kicking is sub-par. Luckily for him, kicking is something that can be taught.
Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:22 am
I think the earlier post should say that Heaton and Marshall are as bad as each other !
Heaton again cocked up yesterday and could have ended up costing us the game, lets not kid ourselves that watford weren't on top at 3-2.
We need a top class keeper now, or it could end up costing us, remember Marshall in the play off final ?
Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:43 am
His kicking is constantly shite
