Except the interview doesn't state that.
May well have no intention of selling, but the books need balancing. Someone comes in with a big offer for Jay, it'll be accepted - otherwise the Ledley lesson won't have been learnt.
The only way Jay will stay will be when he signs a contract, and even that doesn't preclude the club selling him.

Just heard on radio Wales news City have REJECTED a bid for Jay.

the next time we see him on the pitch in a city shirt lets belt out the boothroyd song !! This would be a major result if he stays with us
