I Really really hope so.
Even though its not exactly what we need considering Burkey is on the bench as it is so is another winger needed?
But he is a great player, and remember Bellamy is only a Cardiff player until the end of this season so we need permanent players here :ayatollah:

Craig Conway is not a crock, he had an unfortunate injury.. It is not a recurring injury, or is he an injury prone player.
The lad is quick, tricky and has recently developed his strength.. My uncle used to play for Dundee Utd and is still involved in Scottish football, and I had a chat with him about conway this morning.. Say's he will be a great signing, as good as if not a better player than Chris burke.
If we use your mentality then we can not sign any player who has ever had an injury!! So do tell, who do we sign.. And remember they can never of had an injury, cause you don't want crocks

You seem to quickly forget about Fowler and Riggott then

Didn't realise we were discussing fowler and riggot, I swear the topic is regarding Craig conway

This injury is nothing major, its not one that stems from recurring injuries like Riggott etc. I remember Kev being injury prone, were people complaining then?

Midfield General thinks that as the lad had an injury it makes him a crock, never mind how serious... What he doesn't seem to grasp is no footballer professional or not goes there entire career injury free...
Conway is quick, skilful and has recently bulked up, so won't be afraid to mix it up a bit.. But as he has been injured midfield general doesn't want him

No I dont want a player who hasnt played since October. I'd prefer a fit player who can go straight into the team rather than one who we'd have to help get fit again which would cost us a further 2/3 weeks.

Funny that I'm pretty sure he played last week.... Vs Motherwell 12/01/2011. A 2-0 win for united.... He is fit and ready to play, so what other excuse do you have

Playing against Motherwell isnt excatly Championship class is it. However if you want to continue accepting your uncle's, cousins' sister then you carry on.[/quote]
So by that comment we should never have signed kev McNaughton, Chris Burke, Ross McCormack, Or David Marshall as I'm pretty sure they too played against Motherwell.
And I'd rather listen to a man who played professionally in Scotland, managed professionally in Scotland and watches football in Scotland every week over someone who changes excuses for not signing someone for a relatively cheap fee.
So far you have said
1. He's a crock
2. We don't need a winger
3. He's not good enough as he plays in Scotland

What's next...

2. We don't need a winger In my opinion we have too many wingers
3. He's not good enough as he plays in Scotland Championship level is much better than the SPL

What's next...

So do you think that Chris Burke isn't good enough
Do you think kev mc isn't good enough
Do you think Ross mc wasn't good enough
Do you think David Marshall isnt good enough

HE PLAYED LAST WEEK AND IS FIT!!!!!!!!!

Do we.... He is left sided, Bellamy isn't really a winger and whitts IMO is better playing inside... For 200k it's a great signing.

hmmmm do i agree with bertie or midfeild general.....

i have to agree with bertie, this is a great signing, i undertsand frustration that he is no CB we need etc but its january, you can only sign a player if and when he is available and conway is now.

im sure CB will come available soon, whos to say thats not the other player having a medical. i bet if we had already signed a CB etc then we would be ranting at what a great addition Conway is !!

Re: Conway from Dundee Utd..

Mon Jan 17, 2011 11:43 am

Uh he didn't play the full match against Motherwell he came on for the last 10 minutes

Re: Conway from Dundee Utd..

From the Dundee Utd 606 board - the opinion is that we will have a bargain, but Conway has hardly featured for them all season.
