QPR signing 4 players could backfire on them?

Sat Jan 15, 2011 9:17 pm

Bringing new players doesn't guarantee success. Bringing in 1 or 2 players can freshen up a team. Bringing in 4 players could upset a teams momentum. QPR will end up in the play offs behind CCFC and Forest.

QPR have lost a little momentum recently, Warnock is probably right to freshen things up.

The division is still wide open.

The more I think about it, the more I think Michael Brown could bring that bit of b*stard to our midfield that we are missing.

Go get him Jonesy :ayatollah:

Gareth we have been knocked badly in the last 7 days losing 3 important players 2 for the season in Jamie Mackie & Patrick Ageymang with broken legs & Kyle Walker being snatched away by Villa.

The names being mentioned make perfect sense, Routledge as a right sided winger Mackie's position, Ishmel Miller to cover for Agyemang, Danny Shittu as we only ever have 2 natural CB's available & Chimbonda for RB to cover for losing Walker. If we hadn't of lost those players I would definitely agree with your post but as I explained its basically man for man for what we've lost this week.

As it stands we have a very weak bench & are drastically low on numbers so new recruits are essential.

Fair comments
Walker will be a loss-chimbonda is good attacker but defensively poor.
Miller if fit is better than Ageymang.
Routledge is better than Mackie.
Shittu i'm not sure about.

The danger with new players in such quantities is that they dont gel.

I got a funny feeling that Warnock will make them fit. As CMob said its player for player and i agree it will make them stronger .

To be honest lads we've signed none of the mentioned targets as it stands so don't panic yet :D things change quickly as you know.

This time last week I was under the impression Routledge & Shittu were both on their way to Cardiff.

Routledge I think would really push us on, under Warnock I think he could be brilliant.

Miller-Not to convinced by this one, a powerhouse but seems to be a bit of a sick note.

Chimbonda-I think could turn out to be a very shrewd signing if it were to happen.

Shittu-No pace but for presence & cover could do a lot worse.
