How about doing away with the January transfer window, having transfers in July only, maximum squad of 22 players, emergency loans only in the event of long term injuries, clubs cannot sack thier managers mid season. That would prove who the good managers are. Managers that can do their job, ie MANAGE.
That's the fundamental problem with modern day football, you simply buy your way out of trouble, whether it's buying new players or buying a new manager. There are exceptions of course, Blackpool to name one, but on the whole, the richer the club the more successful they are. That aint right.

I agree that certain financial rules need to be re-examined, and altered.
