Defo deal to be done Jones was ready to take Best from Coventry Jan last year but Ridsdales scam stopped that & Routledge we all know is Jones No.1 target.

I'd be happy with that, as long as the Beast turns out to be good... Would rather we kept Jay, got those players and VT gave us more for otheres though !!!

Which is bollocks, given his value in summer is precisely zero.

Unless Carroll is badly injured / being sold, Jay is hardly a vital target for Newcastle...
