The difference between Saturday and yesterday

Postby davids » Wed Jan 13, 2010 3:38 pm

On the face of it there were a few things in common between Saturday and yesterday night - we went a goal up, we let it slipetc but the main difference between Saturday and last night, and the reason why there has been little negative feedb :ayatollah: ack or criticism following last night's result , simply the effort and passion shown by all of the players in what were difficult conditions,
and even , perhaps most surprisingly, the passion shown by Dave Jones on the touchline !

We don't ask for much as fans. We know we are not going to win every game and that we''ll suffer from late goals and the odd bit of bad luck but the players should also realise especially after last night that if they give 100% and show some pride in the shirt we will provide our unconditional and absolute support, as we always have done and always will.

It's when we see talented and well paid individuals selling us and themselves short that we get annoyed. No-one could fault the players attitude and commitment last night. When we see how they can play it only makes it more frustrating when they don't put in th effort we know they are capable of.

More of the same please boys. :ayatollah:
