Cardiff on Fifa 11

Just wondering what formation and players do you use when playing with Cardiff on Fifa 11.
Cos I find it hard to pick a good formation that utilises all the players really well.

that's a good team but because the defence is so slow on there, you can get easily caught on the counter-attack with the 4-4-2

personally i use a custom formation, 4-2-4, use normal 4-4-2 and push the RM and LM up to RW and LW, then i play:

I'm top by 9points, gonna buy charlie adam when I get promoted. My defence is still very leaky too. Better centre backs!

i ve tweaked the settings to 100 per aggression and pressure 40 per cent, play risky passing around 75 per cent and short passing, also when the game starts use the control pad and get them playing offensive, I find theres plenty of runs and movement worked for me fifa world cup and playing wales usually cane people 4-0 o n there !!!! the formation i go for is a defualt sometimes 4-2-2-2 or most favourably 4-1-2-1-2 hope that helps

Keep playing Matthews and Blake, the latter becomes a good player. Strangely enough that would happen in real life too.

Squad rotation is the key, Wildig can do a job for you in the Championship and a few games in the premier when you are short. Keogh was a goal machine for me in the championship!

I stick to a 4 4 2 just like jones but push the left winger forward so its practically 4 3 3. If I need goals with 30 to go I switch to 3 5 2, taking off Matthews and putting an attacking midfielder on.

Look for free agents, I have signed two superb players on frees and a few make up the numbers for a season before selling on for a few million. Bothroyd and Jovetic are superb up front but my current front two are lethal. Yes I sign my favourite old Cardiff players, Earnie even scored goals for me for two seasons

both full backs are fast to cover for the cb and waiting to sign g cahill. Turan plays for galatasaray and cost me 22 mil what a player tho worth every penny.

I find the defence are very poor, so I put Oli as a central defender, and this helps a lot.

olofinjana and mcnaughton at centre-back is absolutely quality! i tried it today, its such a good partnership as you combine strength with pace!

Got promoted with the current cardiff city side without making any transfers in my first season.

I'm on my fourth season for cardiff - world class

1st season - won the championship, I loaned fabio from united and bought C.Berra from Wolves, won by quite alot
2nd season - in the premier league and came 4th, bellamy, koumas, olofinjana, fabio all left because of their loan so bought Tshabalala, Leroy Lita, Djemba Djemba, Frimpong, didnt do well in the cups but got into the champions league...
3rd season - didnt do aswell, got sixth in the league but won the league cup against man utd 3-2, loaned Danny Welbeck and he scored in the last min against them :L bought J.Collison, D.Collins and Matt Jarvis

Then I use Barcelona Custom Tactics. High Pressure, High Aggression, Slow build up play, Free form, Risky Passing. I'm on a 62 unbeaten run online using these tactics and formation

I put Oli in the Busquets role. And use Koumas and Rambo in the Xavi and Iniesta role. Fifa can handle my managerial abilities.

Use this. You can make any team play like Barca

A few people i always sign in the first season on manager mode are

Speroni in goals cos he's the best keeper in the Championship and pretty cheap, Neil Alexander is also a good option

Gibbs/Fabio/Richardson as a loan left back

Jack Wilshere on loan

Zat Knight is the best value for money centre half you can get in the Prem and he wins pretty much every header (other affordable/good centre halves = Loovens/Faye/Gabbidon)

Jimmy Kebe, you can get for 1.9m and he's pathetically fast, or Adam Hammill who's a bit more expensive

Earnshaw is cheap and like 88 ish speed on the game

A swiss target man called Streller is available and affordable and he wins like every header from crosses

and finally... if you bid 5.9m for a striker called Shelton (who used to play for Sheff Utd) you get a player as fast as Walcott, he might even be the joint fastest on the game, i afforded him by selling Chopra (3m) and Whittingham (who you can get over 4m for and i dont find to be that good anyway)

I've actually put BEAST on the back of Parkins top like Chicarito.

I was going to put SUGARPUFF MONSTER but it was too long

I went on Player Manager legendary difficulty with legendary budget using the default system. First season, I stuck with the proper City squad, my team was:

I finished the season second and my pro was joint top scorer with Louis Saha, but for some reason they awarded Saha the golden boot. My pro was injured for 2 months so I don't think Saha played less games than me?

Third season I had a little bit of money to spend. My team didn't drastically improve but I was able to sign players permanently instead of bringing in loans. I still brought in a few decent loans mind in Fabio, Coutinho and Canales. My team was:
