The simple answer is no as history has shown that generally clubs have used the additional tv revenue to pay inflated wages and transfer fees to average players.
There are now regulations in place which are intended to ensure clubs in the future do not spend more than they receive in revenue.

Its heavy reading but I think this will serve to drive player salaries down because if PL clubs have not demonstrated by 2012 they are breaking even it may result in them being banned for european competitions.
In a week where Spurs announce a £6m loss on revenue of £113m it sort of puts into perspective how much commitment it has taken from their board to keep pace with the megarich owners of Man City and Chelsea.
Liverpool and Man Utd have been left with huge debts by stupid owners borrowing mega amounts of money to "Buy" the clubs.
The only chance we have of clearing our debts is if we are promoted keep our current squad and wage structure and take our chances. But would our fans accept that or would they expect big money signings either throught transfer fees, bosman or loans.
The madness would soon takeover IMO and we would risk increasing our already massive debts if we are ever promoted.
