SWANSEA V CARDIFF FA CUP 91

Tue Nov 02, 2010 7:18 pm

For those lucky enough to be there will remember this was a complete day of total and utter humiliation for them. From early morning and well into the night. Doubt that is in Toosey's Jackanory Book. Just seemed to be loads of lads hell bent on destruction from all over.

Funniest incident of day was this jack who looked the spitting image of Terror off The Wanderers, fair play he offered few Cardiff on and was standing his ground, along come a copper who split his head with the old style baton and I swear his head didnt move one inch. He was pissing with blood and still game until a City fan had him with the point of the old trusty golfing umbrella.

Badly twisted my ankle that day jumping off some wall at Neath Station en route. Mad mad day

Slaughter.

When the local old bill are on their toes from you then you
know you're in some mob. The Coppers grouped up at the
top of the roads twice that i can remember.. both times I
assume their gaffer told us to get the f**k out of our way :D :D

Perhaps Toozey was telling his troops the same

Half a brick just missed Marxsy and smashed against the prison wall i got confronted by a jack with half a brick in his hand and dared him to throw it fortunately he threw at my feet rather than my head or i probably wouldn't be here to tell the tale.
There was a policewoman on the road outside Swansea Prison crying her eyes out with total mayhem going on around her.

Absolutely mad mad scenes which i am sure will never be repeated again :old:

I was in the car park opposite the prison.About 20 jacks were walking through picking off normals.
I had the golf clubs in the back of the car and the 4 of us picked a club each and chased them out of the car park, they ran into a Cardiff mob and it was goodnight.

Remember it well what a day I was 20 and hitchiked back home from liverpool. The honest Jacks I've spoke to since say they try to forget about that day.
We were close on getting on the north bank before the game that day. It was the old bill who managed to stop us on the road after the grand theatre. I can remember not knowing who was who.
After the game a load of jacks barricaded themselves in the queens arms we couldnt break the door in.
I was meant to be back in liverpool that night but missed my train I didnt care though what a day.
I laugh when they sing swim away its irrelevant in comparison.

What a mad day that was. Started off in the train station in the concourse beneath the platforms with the loudest call of "BLUEBIRDS" you will ever hear.

Remember thinking how lucky me and mates were when we got a table on the train only for some header to kick it clean off about 5 seconds later. He went down the whole train doing this with the coppers watching through the window!

When we got off in scumsea they had a load of buses waiting for us but nowhere near enough. They quickly filled up but as we ran off from the police all the fans already on then were desperately trying to get off, some by kicking the upstairs windows out and jumping down. One window got chucked on top of a police van as they drove off desperately trying to keep the fans onboard.

Once we got down to the prison area it was fcuking mental. I stupidly found myself right at the front being 17 and fit, only for about 50 of us to get split from the masses when coppers came out of a sidestreet. The jacks charged us but the rest of the City boys then pilled into them big time. It was like a scene out of Braveheart!

I got punched by a copper and was feeling a little sorry for myself until I saw some poor fcuker caught by a load of coppers when we was straddling the barrier by the roadside. They beat the crap out of him and he was covered from head to toe in blood. Fair play though he was in amongst it after the game.

CRAZY DAY!!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The train home after we lost was somewhat quieter than the one on the way there. We were all devastated!

we were walking down oxford street and a security guard from one of the shops was lashing out at any city fan close to him. fair play he was a lump of a guy with blonde hair and was putting some good punches in until he got swamped by numbers.
hardings leather shop got done over with lads snatching jackets.
outside one of their main pubs the singleton the jacks were fighting eachother to get back inside when we ran at them
in a side street a mob of jacks were calling it on we ran at then and someone jumped on my back bang that was my fun over.

shared a taxi home late that night with stops in maesteg, rhonnda, ponty and cardiff

a mad day i wont forget

I remember it well, we caught the earlier train in from Port Talbot as the special didnt stop at Port Talbot Parkway, we mob :) bed up with the Neath lads on route. When we got there around 40 to 50 proper lads were welcomed by the local heddlu in two lines ,we had to walk through the middle of them at at the end was a spotter from swansea's force, a local PT boy, cant name him, but he works in CSS now !!! He warned us to behave, with a smile on his face :) , as we stepped out of the station theres a pub on your right, we ran straight into a few scum waiting inside. It all happened in minutes but it set the scene for the day. We got put on the buses to wait for the special to arrive. And f**k me did you all arrive the platform was covered in City, amazing sight to see. f**k this we thought and we opened the emergency exits and got off much to the coppers up front anger. Some City got on the coaches but didnt get far as windows were flying out whole and smashed. We all marched down together 1,000's of us and the rest is history. What a day, shame we couldnt do it again lads. Although it doesnt have to be a football match does it ? Anyone fancy a xmas drink down wind st ???

When the football special arrived it was soon packed to the rafters, they put another train on, it looked like a spanking new Inter City 125 when it left Cardiff, the two trains arrived in Swansea simultaneously, that's why we had so many fans there at once, well over 1400 just off those two trains. Our lot had been drinking in the Bluebell (Goat Major) beforehand but by the time we'd reached the toilet on the train there was just a hole in the floor, no actual toilet, it had been ripped out and launched.

Our little lot managed to get on one of the old buses but somebody decided the ventilation wasn't up to standard and put their boot through the window. The rozzers kicked everyone off and just told us to walk. No escort, just go. Happy days.

I have never seen anything like the return from the Vetch to the station. Some Cardiff nutter set of CS gas in our end mid game. There was a scuffle in the stand to our right where there were Cardiff and Swansea in together. Remember seeing all the windows going through down the Kingsway. Remember going to board the buses back and being told by all the City fans to get off, we were all going to walk it. Swansea attacked the buses with everything they had until the Cardiff walkers steamed round the corner and the Jacks were off. I saw Cardiff pulling Swansea boys out of pubs and taking severe liberties. Even heard of one incident where Cardiff fans had run in to a shoe shop and started a mass shoe throwing fight on one of the shopping streets.

Fair do's to the Cardiff fans on the buses, they undid the seals on the windows, threw them at the jacks and even some seats. When we got back to The Bluebell there were people over in the corner comparing tie-pins and watches from a jewellers that got done. Don't think we've played them at 3'o'clock since have we?

We had just chased the jacks down a side street toward the North Bank turnstiles after a brief fight when the OB arrived in a van and started battering people. I got back onto the road and heard a voice "c'mon Cardiff you're here now" I turned to see the big bald fucker you mentioned, cocky as hell and waving his arms about . He must have thought he was putting the fear of god into us because nobody went at him. But he couldn't see what we could, which was the copper jogging up behind him with his baton drawn, BOSH and the look on his mug was a picture.
