Dart in the coopers head - swansea

I missed this being mid -w eek and in school, Welsh cup I think.

Remember afterwards that the police said City had infiltrated the North Bank by wearing rosettes

But like all stories it gets embellished - so what really happened and anyone there ?

May 1982 ....Welsh Cup Final 2nd leg..
Absaloute Mayhem..!..City were on The North Bank ...around 30 lads from The Rhondda steamed into them above one of the tunnels..Took a while to get them out...Gary Bennett scored in the 1st couple of mins only fotr the vermin to hit back and win 2-1,Must have been over 4000 rammed in the west terrace,I remember seeing on of the old bill being taken out of the end being told later hed been stabbed with a dart..The Daily Mirror the next day had a full spread of weapons used and a pic of the copper with the dart...

I have a full double page cut out in the western mail stating 100 arrests and pics of weapons, but cant remember what game.

If that was the night the inflatable swan got raped they were Llanrumney lads that led that little excursion ( B Troop) onto the Norf Bank.

I remember a few lads from Porth did time for a section 18 at that game as well

I was one of the rhondda boys in the north bank,and we did not get in by wearing rosettes!!! The jacks were not that clever either,they couldnt shift us,the ob had to take us out.I had loads of trouble from the ob a few months later,i was in loads of pics and they knew all about my movements all day etc etc,they kept picking me up from my house,pub, even the bookies and snooker hall!!!.The cop who got stabbed in the head fell on me as i was being "escorted "out of the ground by the plod,they panicked and let me go,which saved me a fine .I think they did eventually nick someone for it,rumours that it was a jack from port talbot.Great night tho

llanrumney b -troop went on there end about 3 games on the trot,and im sure they were on it for that game aswell,maybe them and rhondda on the same night

i remember lianrumney b troop . 1978 to 1983 , lads from all areas inc maerdy about 32 in all. on north bank every time city played . done chelsea on bob bank 1979 . and made a big stand on ninian pk rd after the match .

yes. the b troop were on the north bank with there maerdy boys, the copper had the dart which was meant for our boys , it was on the news the following day ,

the jacks will never admit ccfc were on their north bank or on their pitch
