Cardiff City face Aston Villa

OTD in 1960, Cardiff City face Aston Villa at Ninian Park in front of 55,000 fans.

A pitch invasion took place as City ran out 1-0 winners with a goal scored by Graham Moore that clinched promotion to the First Division.

Funny you should post that as he’s attending the Southampton game on Saturday.
Not sure if he’s the last player remaining of that promotion winning side.
In fairness to City they are making a fuss of him in the Ricoh Lounge. :clap:

Denis Law done him going over the ball in a tackle.
Law was frustrated as he was getting the better of him.

My late father and grandfather were also at this game, I'm sure a local lad score our winning goal in this most important game,,, Graham Moore, from Hengoed?

Had the honour of meeting both Derick Tapscott and Graham Moore. Both were lovely guys and true gentlemen.
If I remember rightly, my dad made his debut at the same time as Graham. Graham was his best mate at City.
After my dad’s injury, Graham Moore went on to Chelsea and Man U.
