THINGS THAT COULD HAPPEN THIS WEEKEND:


- Portsmouth could be promoted to the Championship

- Stockport and Wrexham could be promoted to League One




Below are all the ups and downs for the top four leagues this season, as well as all the permutations.

The situation in the Premier League is more complicated due to a potential extra Champions League place and possible points deductions.

Will keep this as a sticky and update it until the end of the season.


Premier League

The title race is between Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal.

The top four teams will qualify for the Champions League, with Tottenham and Aston Villa battling for the final place.

5th place could potentially qualify for the Champions League if English clubs do well in Europe.

If not, the 5th placed team will qualify for the Europa League.

The winners of the FA Cup will also qualify for the Europa League. If they have qualified for the Champions League through their league position, that place will go to the 6th placed team.

If that is the case, 7th place will qualify for the Europa Conference League. If not, that place will go to the 6th placed team.

The winners of the Europa League and Champions League will qualify for the Champions League. The winners of the Conference League will qualify for the Europa League.

The bottom three teams will be relegated to the Championship.

Championship

- Rotherham United relegated to League One (5th April)


The top two teams will be promoted to the Premier League, with the next four in the play-offs.

Ipswich, Leeds and Leicester are guaranteed a play-off place at least.

The bottom three teams will be relegated to League One.

Rotherham’s relegation was confirmed on 5th April.

League One

- Carlisle United relegated to League Two (6th April)

The top two teams will be promoted to the Championship, with the next four in the play-offs.

Portsmouth, Derby and Bolton have secured at least a play-off place.

The bottom four teams will be relegated to League Two.

Carlisle were relegated on 6th April.

League Two

The top three teams will be promoted to League One, with the next four in the play-offs.

Stockport and Wrexham could be promoted on Saturday, they are both guaranteed a play-off place along with Mansfield.

The bottom two teams will be relegated to the National League.
