They’ve now had eight deducted this season.

Madness is it’s the best season for them to be deducted points.

They’ll still stay up with Luton and Forest battling for the last spot.

I wouldn’t be so sure Worcester. Brentford and Palace are still in the mix.

So how did they win their appeal over the point's deduction when they were facing more charges and points being deducted. Seems the pl have bottled it again for a big club

They won their appeal because they should never have been charged in the first place, the PL did not take into account what was being spent on their new stadium, and that rule I think will eventually be changed, as since when is money spent on a ground anything to do with what a club spend on players (FPP) my arse, and why was notts forest only deducted 3 points, maybe more to come, when they lost £66m more than Everton.
Your point about Everton (Big Club) being treated better than Forest {Small club) does not hold any water.
Also Everton had already been deducted points for the offence in the same time frame. You can bet that Everton will once again appeal.
It is going to be interesting how the PL treat Man city and how many points they deduct as they are being charged with 110 breaaches. Their owner said that if they deduct points off them he has plenty of lawyers to keep them in court for years.
This is where the PL will bottle it.
Ps Chelsea are being investigated for a few offences but they seem to be a lot more serious than FPP ones

And they are still being investigated for other breaches but that will be implemented next season if deduction is used... wonder if being picked on...

Spot on Roger, Everton are being treated worse than any other club by the PL.

They also co-operated fully with the PL and it was Everton themselves who made them aware of a lot of it.

An Everton statement read: "While the club's position has been that no further sanction was appropriate, the club is pleased to see that the commission has given credit to the majority of the issues raised by the club, including the concept of double punishment, the significant mitigating circumstances facing the club due to the war in Ukraine, and the high level of co-operation and early admission of the club's breach."

The Toffees added that the club is "extremely concerned" at the "inconsistency" of the punishments, with four different commissions issuing four different points deductions this season.

The Premier League said the independent commission "reaffirmed the principle that any breach of the PSRs is significant and justifies, indeed requires, a sporting sanction".

Nottingham Forest are the other Premier League club to have been charged with PSR breaches this season and were docked four points in March, although they have lodged an appeal.

Championship club Leicester have also been charged by the Premier League for allegedly breaking spending rules during their last three seasons in the top flight.

There is no guarantee that Everton's appeal will be heard before the final games of the Premier League season on 19 May when Everton travel to Arsenal.

The 2023-24 season technically remains 'live' until the annual general meeting in June when relegated clubs transfer their certificates and 24 May has been selected as a 'backstop date' for the appeals process to be concluded.
