“ Player of the Season? “

Getting to that part of the year now when we start thinking about the Player of the Season.

Quite a fair few with decent shouts I say.

Alnwick would have been the clear favourite up until the new year but has now missed a number of games and Horvath has established himself as number one.

I would say Grant, Goutas, Ng, Ralls and Siopis all have strong claims.


At this point, it would be between Grant, Goutas and Ng for me.

NG for me.

At the time of writing, he's our:

- Top Scorer (6)
- Top Goals & Assists Combined (10)
- For me, has the most character in our team
- Ever present
- Shined in alot of very drab performances

I think he's the most likely 'to end up in the prem' out of our squad.


Is there a way to dump the man of the match polls on this forum and check the stats? It'd be interesting to see what this forum would spit out for most votes.

I'd go for NG, probably the most consistent player we have and he has chipped in with the goals and assists.

Goutas comes in 2nd, he's been a great signing. Grant 3rd (would have put him 1st but he had a very slow start). Siopis misses out coz his performances tailed off during that long bad spell

Gouda’s for me too.

I don't think we should ignore such things as time at club, adapting to a new team, new league and new country. I would therefore give it to Goutas.

Otherwise, going by effect on the pitch alone, would understand if it went to Ng.

But why give him an accolade that Premier clubs will sit up and notice.

Goutas is a good shout, as is Grant. Siopis has made a big impact too, but lacked consistency and support at times. I think Nat Phillips would be nailed on had he been here all season.

Perry, Sio, Dimi or Grant worth a thought.

Tough one this year, Perry’s been outstanding the past few seasons, I was sceptical when we signed him at 1st but he’s future Captain/legend material for us

For me, has to be either NG or Goutas.

NG has been outstanding, but Goutas has been seriously impressive.
Even more so considering we got him on a free, and it’s his first season playing in the English game.

Farmer dido for me what a striker and nobody else picked him up during the transfer window a gem.
