TODAYS TEAM NEWS Ralls back in and Odowda, robbo on subs

Fri Mar 29, 2024 2:00 pm

Three changes

Erol Bulut has mixed things up a little for this one.

Captain Joe Ralls returns to the starting XI after spending the South Wales derby on the bench, as does Rubin Colwill, whose cameo Bulut earmarked as one of the few positives from the defeat at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Callum O'Dowda is back for his first start since August, while Aaron Ramsey, as expected, remains on the bench.

Disappointing that J Colwill and Ashford aren't even on the bench.

Looks like he is finally playing Grant as a striker which is good.

It is disappointing, especially as it looks like Sunderland have more than decent kids/youngsters in their team.

However, how many City managers on the bounce have not included the kids? Surely there is a reason, and in the main, it's because they are not good enough.

Now, I know we won't know unless they play, but I'd leave taking any such gamble, No matter how small, until the last few games of the season.

Only my opinion...

I am not. Its Bank Holiday Bulut needs a performance and a win from the senior pros especially after the total failure last time out. We still have a very slim chance of the play offs too. We wont see any youngsters until the last couple of games which should be dead rubbers then .
