Been told this morning that the FA of Wales have missed out

Wed Mar 27, 2024 9:36 am

Been told this morning that the FA of Wales have missed out on a £25m windfall after failing to make Euro 2024.

There could be now serious ramification for the 160-plus staff the FAW employ.

The Association might need to make severe financial cuts against £250k pa Rob Page yearning to continue his Wales squad's journey.

FAW chief executive Neil Mooney and President Steve Williams are likely to review Page's position as a matter of priority.

Wales failed to qualify out of a Euro group that included the likes of Turkey, Armenia and Latvia - then threw a Nations League lifeline sculpted by Ryan Giggs' past work away, by losing last night's shoot out to Poland on penalties at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Without knowing what the sponsors would have given extra for qualifying Too miss out on £25m we would have to have gone pretty deep into the competition but we have missed out on a serious amount just for being there. Which for Welsh football is a big slice of money

Page should have gone after the World Cup disaster as many supporters said. He was given another chance to qualify for the Euros and totally messed that up with poor team selection and tactics. This will now bite the FAW in the arse due to lose of millions for not qualifying. Surely Page will be replaced! Not to mentioned screwing over the fans with no football for us over the summer. FAW need to wobble their heads and sort this mess out. I believe the current team will get better, it just needs a competent manager to lead them. Thanks for your efforts Page, but it's time to move on for the sake of the team and fans.

Yes he will ruin the talent we've got ... think only need look at his use of Rambo previously to see how he stiffles players.. he plays him as defensive midfielder when everyman and his dog knows Rambo is a no 10 and a good one at that! James as RB last night!!! :o
