Sky sources understand Cardiff City have agreed a deal to sign Emiliano Sala but it is being held up because Nantes want him to play one final game for them - against Angers on Sunday.

Cardiff want to complete the deal in time for Sala to play at Newcastle on Saturday.

The Argentinian striker has agreed personal terms and is waiting for permission to fly to Cardiff for a medical.

The fee is believed to be in the region of £18m.

Emiliano Sala (Nantes) ok avec Cardiff pour un contrat de 3 ans et demi.Il a l’autorisation de se rendre vendredi à Cardiff pour passer la visite médicale.Il restait de petits détails à régler entre les clubs pour un transfert d’environ 20M€.

Translation: Emiliano Sala (Nantes) ok with Cardiff for a 3 year contract and demi.Il has permission to travel to Cardiff on Friday for the visit médicale.Il remained small details to settle between the clubs for a transfer of about 20M € .

Sky sources understand Cardiff City have agreed a deal to sign Emiliano Sala but it is being held up because Nantes want him to play one final game for them - against Angers on Sunday.

Cardiff want to complete the deal in time for Sala to play at Newcastle on Saturday.

The Argentinian striker has agreed personal terms and is waiting for permission to fly to Cardiff for a medical.

The fee is believed to be in the region of £18m.

looks like it, abit annoying they want him for one last game but they don’t have another striker as the other one got sent off so he’ll be here next week!!

Seems a bit strange they want him for one game. What if he got injured playing sunday that would mean they lose 18 million pound, would they really risk that?

The way I see it their manager is mega pissed off, its a local derby on Sunday and nothing between them in the league.
Both teams still with Relegation a possible. Why they’re trying it on.
