Utd have said they are willing to let him go out on loan. A CM who can also play at CB and has played quite a few times for Utd in the past and has premier league experience at a young age. Definitely think we should be in for him, great player in the making!

Yeah I mentioned it before anyone had any idea of Niasse, disappointing really, feel like we could’ve got some really good centre mids on loan but wouldn’t complain with Niasse

Only loans we can have once Niasse signs is from Europe, think it’s 5 in total in a season so we’d be able to loan 2 more players

What’s the point in centre mids if we haven’t got strikers that can score goals

If we signed Arter from Bournemouth then would make room for another signing on loan.

We’ve got 5 centre mids (damour shouldn’t really count though  ) and play with 3 in midfield, we’ve got 5 strikers (Ward, Zohore, Reid, Paterson, healey, sala when confirmed) when we play 1 up top. That’s the way I see it, yes getting Niasse is good but if we was to get sala adwell, that would put us with 6 strikers when we only play 1 up front and 5 midfielders when we play 3 in the midfield. I know our strikers don’t score many goals but having NO back up centre mids about from Ralls is worse, Paterson doesn’t do that bad up front. Hope we don’t end up putting 6 strikers in the 25 man squad at the end of the month with only 5 centre mids.

With actual strikers Paterson would get nowhere near being up front for us - worked initially and surprised a few teams but I’m not classing him in our quota of strikers.

Also healey should be nowhere near the 25 man squad if we have any aspirations to survive.

Patterson can play in midfield if necessary but I would still prefer an actual midfielder. Patterson is a good player to have in the squad as he covers so many positions

Paterson is a midfielder

Scotland play him at right back so we don’t need to buy one?

Would get ruined if we played him at right back in this league, maybe in the championship but not in the PL, if you watched him play right back for Scotland, you’d understand why Warnock don’t play him there, gives away way too many fouls around the box and always gets booked and nearly set off, too clumsy
