On the face of it this is disgraceful behaviour. If there's not a back story then some people need to receive bans and be dealt with for assault.
Having said this, we don't know what preceded the clip, so it's possible that the man had just done something which puts it into context. We don't know, but it needs looking into

I did Swansea at the Vetch when we were banned, they scored and I looked around, you could see how many of our fans were in there. You keep yourself to yourself and just watch the game

A Man Utd fan and his 2 kids were removed from Row H behind the Away bench in the Grandstand. He also celebrated when they scored their 3rd. A few City fans told him he was out of order. There were loads of other Mancs in that area where there are also City season ticket holders though the other Mancs behaved. They seem to use some of those rows for complimentary tickets and for some of the kids involved in the on-pitch activities. It's also a bit of a spill over area for backroom staff.

The stewards dealt with is soon after the start of the second half and marched the bloke and his two young kids around the pitch to the away disabled area. The stewards will know the seat numbers and know how he obtained the tickets.

i was in the east stand that day behind the goal and lot's of city fans in there too .

as for the incidents yesterday i think the club needs to look at it's policy next season if we are in the prem .

the tickets sold out within a few hours of going on sale and those who are flexi ticket holders could get hold of 2 extra on the morning of sale . hence that's why loads of man utd fans got tickets

i am a flexi ticket holder and work away and phoned the club every half hour on the morning of sale but the phones were engaged every time hence i couldn't get hold of a ticket yesterday so had to watch on bt sports

I would like the club not to give 2 extra tickets out next season to any top 6 side if we are in the prem if you are a season ticket holder or flexi ticket holder then we won't have any problems . job done

That makes sense and I think the club should look at that... :thumbright:

One ticket per member for the so-called 'big team' games and even that should be on a system that first rewards regular non-season ticket holders, as with away games

Season ticket holders selling their 'spare' vouchers to individuals they don't know when they cannot or don't want to go is also an issue. Give your 'spare' tickets to someone you know or at least look for bona fide City supporters when advertising availability on this Forum (long-standing members can usually be vouched for) rather than 'newbies' suddenly signing up with more than one account in an obvious attempt to get tickets they probably shouldn't have

Spurs probably not too bad for this sort of thing...but wait 'til dem Scousers are due in town, Laaa! :(

Angry scenes as Cardiff City fans chased a Manchester United supporter

Media Wales

Monday 24th December 2018

The new footage appears to show a Manchester United fan being kicked out of the Cardiff City Stadium in front of angry Bluebirds fans

New footage has emerged of a Manchester United fan being thrown out of the Cardiff City Stadium in front of angry Bluebirds fans.

The shocking video, which appears to be shot on the concourse of the Canton End, seems to be a continuation of the one that emerged on social media earlier this weekend.

The supporter, wearing a red coat, is escorted to a fire door by what looks to be a member of security as Cardiff fans continue the abuse heard in the previous video.

Shortly before he is kicked out of the stadium, the man leading him out has to physically stand in between the United fan and a group of Cardiff supporters to prevent a physical confrontation as things threaten to turn ugly.

At one point, a fan appears to throw beer at him as he leaves through the door.

The game itself saw United beat Cardiff 5-1 with former Bluebirds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer winning his first game in charge of the Red Devils in front of a sold-out contest with a 33,028 crowd.

A Cardiff City spokesperson said on the incident: "We removed the supporter for his own safety and it was obviously a very difficult situation to deal with.

"The size of Manchester United's fanbase and the game mean supporters can acquire tickets from all different sources, but our stewards dealt with it in a swift and efficient manner."

A total of seven away fans were believed to be ejected after being discovered in home supporters' areas, with the club adding that they will review any breaches of the law with South Wales Police.

your mate did not think this was a bad idea..?
it might be ok in that stretford end place but not at most grounds

If you go to West Ham and to a local pub mouthing off, you are going to find trouble.
So you either don't go to a local pub or you shut the f**k up if you don't want trouble.

The dicks who went in the away end celebrating goals from the opposition were being dicks. Sit down and shut up and no one would have noticed.

Tits who mouthed off and got a kicking knowing what they were doing... f**k em

Exactly.

I did it many times in the 80s when I was based up in Lincoln. Went to watch Lincoln v Cardiff a number of times with mates who were Lincoln. We ended up going in the home end and yes they celebrated when they scored. I just stood there. When we scored everyone just stood there but i was the only one with a smile on my face. It's just common sense.

RVCasual, I am not a f. ing idiot, but contributing to the thread.I also was not cheering or goading anyone on. I have seen many away fans in crfc and they display colours without showing off. Many kids about the place.Just advice for future how easy it can kick off. Cardiff are known to defend there territory as happened later in the stadium.

This doesn’t reflect well on our club at all. Yes they were a bit daft to go into the away end but what’s more embarrassing is watching loads of our fans taunting threatening or bullying one fan ..Very cowardly and very childish and these are probably the same people who go on about rugby fans being more aggressive / violent .... when are they going to learn it’s not clever brave or mature ... If they really want to face real fears and get there adrenaline going then try skydiving or join the army but don’t partake in this pussy footing cowardly nonsense

I called you a f*cking idiot which might have seemed harsh but I found youre post a bit stupid.

Do you watch Cardiff away, ever since I have followed Cardiff away we have taken over towns, villages, city's and pubs, sing songs, disrespected everyone in our path, we are in the big division now. Colchester, Burton, Watford and the like might never have come down here and 'Sung songs' and disrespected 'Cardiff turf' but you can bet you're last pound Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Everton and all the other big Clubs will, we are a medium sized fish in a big pond now instead of a big fish in a small pond.

Sorted them them out on my own, well no mate as every football stadium in this country is covered by CCTV. I'm not sure what you're point is so don't think Iv missed it.

As I said in my post the only losers are the Mancs who got hurt and the Cardiff fans that did it, everybody else is a non entity.

Have you been following the news lately, you only have to fart in the wrong direction in a Football Stadium and somebody would have filmed you. The best thing anyone could have done is let the Police abs stewards deal with it.

It's 2018 not 1988.

Good luck to anyone involved, bet they are going to have a lush Christmas shitting themselves worrying whether PC Plod has them on camera or not.

Police launch hunt to find fans after Manchester United supporter assaulted at Cardiff City game

The victim was from Cardiff and suffered facial injuries

Tuesday 25th December 2018

Police are investigating an incident where a Manchester United fan was left with facial injuries after an incident inside Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

Shocking footage emerged at the weekend of a United fan being thrown out of the Cardiff City end of the stadium, with the video showing stewards removing the supporter, wearing a red coat, who had incurred the wrath of home fans.

Shouts of "just f*** off" and general abuse being hurled in the direction of the fan as he's being marched out can be heard.

Cardiff City vs Manchester United crowd conflict

A second video later emerged, which appeared to be filmed on the concourse at the Canton End, seemed to show a continuation of the same incident.

The supporter is escorted to a fire door by what looks to be a member of security as Cardiff fans continue abuse heard in the previous video.

Shortly before he is kicked out of the stadium, the man leading him out has to physically stand in between the United fan and a group of what appear to be Cardiff supporters.

At one point, a fan appears to throw beer at him as he leaves through the door.

Cardiff City vs Manchester United - man escapes from mob
Now, police have confirmed they are investigating an assault after a 21-year-old man suffered facial injuries.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "We are investigating an assault in the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday evening.

"A 21-year-old man from Ely , Cardiff, suffered facial injuries and officers are working with the club to identify those responsible.

first of all you have added your post to 3 posts none of whom offered anyone out...??????????????
but anyway, i take it you go away sit in the home end and jump around if we score.....if you do not for the common sense reason that you might get beaten up or abused and probably end up being thrown out ,you have agreed with me..if you do go in home ends and jump about its you that is a trouble making look how hard i am dickhead { knuckle dragger or angry wall headbanger }..my guess would be your in the dickhead category..

you might think things should be different..but it is the reality of it, many grounds have big huge signs you can read even when you are off your face which you quite clearly are at the moment..HOME SUPPORTERS and AWAY SUPPORTERS .these are not adverts for 2 new makes of trainers they are there for a reason...

Re: UPDATED:' POLICE AFTER CARDIFF FANS FOR ATTACK ON UNITED

Nothing wrong with a bit of tribalism . Don't condone people scrapping outside of the ground or any form of hooliganism but if your going to take the piss in the home end you can expect a slap from opposition fans , only club this wouldn't happen at would be the likes of Fulham .

Re: UPDATED:' POLICE AFTER CARDIFF FANS FOR ATTACK ON UNITED

Wed Dec 26, 2018 5:21 am

Away supporters should not be in the home areas end of story. Police should charge them for incitement of violence. There have been calls for the away fans to be situated next to the Canton end. Can you imagine the trouble there would be. We would soon be find by the FA.
