Bad news for Josh Murphy as 56% vote for Gervinho
Revealed: 56% of polled Cardiff fans want to sign former Arsenal man Gervinho

At the moment, Cardiff are performing above expectations after a slow start to the season. Neil Warnock has his side sat in 14th place on 14 points, which is impressive, but what isn’t as impressive is the fact that their top scorer is Callum Paterson on four goals, a player who was originally signed as a right-back but has been playing further forward.
He may well go on to keep up his form and become one of the stars of the Premier League season, but that is unlikely. The Bluebirds will need to get someone else in who can regularly find the back of the net as well as give opposition defences something to think about.
One man who could do just that, and may be keen on a return to England is Parma striker Gervinho. The Ivorian, formerly of Arsenal, wasn’t bad for the Gunners, but the general feeling is that he was more a figure of fun than a respected forward.
A few years on however, and perhaps at at club like Cardiff where expectations are lower, he could thrive. So, we asked their fans if they’d like to see him in South Wales.
As shown by the results below, a tight vote saw 56% of them in favour of bringing Gervinho back to the Premier League…
