Really sad to hear this sort of Neanderthal behaviour still exists and it tarnishes the good Welsh name but it doesn't surprise me, one of my missus's friends was seeing a guy obsessed with the egg and when I put up a joke about the egg on FB he threatened to slit my throat, bit of back and forth and he was smacking my front door in till police arrived and he drove off, needless the say the majority of Neanderthal morons who love the egg need putting on a remote island and left to their own devises.

All the best Ryan on a speedy recovery and lets hope the scum who did this get caught and sent down for a long time

To be honest that says more about the guy than Rugby fans sounds like he has issues, i've witnessed football fans do a lot worse doesnt mean i think all football fans are thugs.
people on this board really make me cringe when it comes to Rugby, jesus christ you can like other sports other than football it doesnt have to be one or the other

Didn't I read some Bristol fan getting sparked out by a city fan when he was walking with his dad after a match for no reason.Minding his own business and was assaulted from behind.

The difference is football fans are getting behaved but the egg is getting worse yet the police don’t clamp down on them.

You did and (in fairness to those who witnessed it) the idiot was arrested, was widely condemned by City supporters and received a custodial sentence for his troubles :thumbright:

The difference is rugby suffers at international level only, and predominantly only in Wales due to mindless smack heads who think it’s a day to get lashed up. Horse racing is becoming a bigger problem than welsh rugby internationals for the very same reason as above but across Britain and further afield. It’s 6 or 7 games a year, you can’t compare every football match for a full season to 6 or 7 internationals.

Footballs get labelled due to the historical nature of hooliganism

Also club rugby in Wales get very low crowds and they don’t travel away much.

Incident like this there will be a serious criminal investigation.

What needs to happen is that Rugby fans/people out for the occasion, that get arrested for minor offences or given a dispersal order should be required to report to a police station on the evening of international games for a set number of years.

People are trying to compare the two sports. Scanning for anything after a rugby international to try and make a point. Personally I don’t attend international rugby because too many are there for the beer not the sport, and whilst I can see why some feel aggrieved at the difference in treatment from the authorities, football is national and international problem.

Rugby hasn’t quite got to that level and I doubt it ever will. Some isolated incidents, some very serious; which will be investigated, but still isolated albeit increasing yet still no comparison to football in general. Mini busses of fans stopping at pubs to attack other fans, there have been threads this week in past events like Chelsea, named gangs etc, I am fan of both sports and enjoy watching both but you can’t compare the two.

I recall that. The so called City fan was apprehended by other City fans until the police came along. I recall one or two posters on here having a go at these other City fans for being "snitches". I'm glad those 2 don't post on here anymore.
