The Mirror reports that Norwich City wish to spend some of the money that received for the sales of James Maddison and Josh Murphy to sign striker Jordan Rhodes from Sheffield Wednesday. The Canaries need to add more depth to their attack after losing two key players from this area.

28-year-old Rhodes endured a difficult campaign at Hillsborough last season. The Scotland international forward only netted seven goals in a frustrated year for the ex-Middlesbrough attacker. The Owls might be tempted to cash in on the player if they can receive a sizeable fee.

Sheff Wed paid £9million for Rhodes following a loan spell with the club only a year ago. It is understood that the club are looking to raise funds, as they have an eye on maintaining within the restrictions of Financial Fair Play. The club have several high earners on their books and wish to reduce that figure going into the upcoming Sky Bet Championship season.
