Very sad news indeed, he was right up there with one of the best keepers ever to play for the city, a great shot stopper and i have some great memories of him in a city shirt. RIP Ron.

Very sad indeed . Ron Healey was always in my all-time Cardiff City team since 1960 though Marshall did run him very close.

Was at Wembley for that game on a school trip , loved the fact we were there to witness him make his debut , we talked about it on the coach going up that hopefully he would get on so we could cheer him on, was always more confident when he was between the sticks RIP RON HEALEY

Similar story about growing up in Cowbridge. Fond memories and always looked after me and my dad (Pete) with tickets and getting into the Players Lounge for autographs. We used to get chased out of the changing rooms before matches then told to go find an empty seat in the grandstand. His son Scott was a keeper too. I hope he didn’t suffer. Thinking of the family

Very sad news!

A City great amongst some super keepers over the years and he had to compete with the equally as good (and fellow Irishman) Bill Irwin

RIP, Ron Healey :ayatollah: :notworthy:

His penalty save at Sunderland is often shown on Big match Revisited.

One of my favourite players, a top keeper in an era with some decent City teams especially the promotion team of 1975-76 and the Richie Morgan ones.

We have been blessed with some great keepers over the years and Ron Healey was certainly one of them.

Very sad news at a relatively young age. RIP Ron. :notworthy:

An absolutely fantastic keeper , an international as well.
Hope the club remember him during our opening game.
We have been so lucky with some great keepers over the years with Ron being right up there.
