Very sad news indeed, he was right up there with one of the best keepers ever to play for the city, a great shot stopper and i have some great memories of him in a city shirt. RIP Ron.
R I P Ron.as many have said one of the best to wear the City shirt . My thoughts are with family and friends at this very sad time. 65 is way to young these days. Fly high Bluebird.
Was at Wembley for that game on a school trip , loved the fact we were there to witness him make his debut , we talked about it on the coach going up that hopefully he would get on so we could cheer him on, was always more confident when he was between the sticks RIP RON HEALEY
Similar story about growing up in Cowbridge. Fond memories and always looked after me and my dad (Pete) with tickets and getting into the Players Lounge for autographs. We used to get chased out of the changing rooms before matches then told to go find an empty seat in the grandstand. His son Scott was a keeper too. I hope he didn’t suffer. Thinking of the family
An absolutely fantastic keeper , an international as well. Hope the club remember him during our opening game. We have been so lucky with some great keepers over the years with Ron being right up there.
