In tonight’s games, Brazil and Switzerland just need a draw to qualify. Serbia will progress if they beat Brazil. Costa Rica can’t qualify.

About to get underway on ITV.

Brazil win the group with a 2-0 win over Serbia. Switzerland join them in the next round, securing their place with a 2-2 draw with Costa Rica.

Brazil will play Mexico in the Last 16, while Switzerland will play Sweden.

The first lot of today’s matches get under way at 3pm, with all the teams apart from Poland able to qualify.

In the 7pm matches, Belgium and England have already qualified. The winner of that match will win the group.

These are the final group games.

Thursday’s matches

Japan v Poland, Group H, 3pm - Live on BBC
Senegal v Colombia, Group H, 3pm - Live on BBC
England v Belgium, Group G, 7pm - Live on ITV
Panama v Tunisia, Group G, 7pm - Live on ITV

Poland beat Japan 1-0 and Colombia beat Senegal 1-0.

This means that Colombia win the group and Japan finish second - Japan progressing due to the fact they have less yellow cards than Senegal.

Jeez, the way these groups are shaping up, it's England's to lose! They probably will but what a chance they have.

Belgium beat England 1-0 to top the group, in a match where both teams were heavily weakened. In the other game, Tunisia beat Panama 2-1.

Spent all of my 58 years supporting anyone but England, in any sport, but kinda felt this time around they were less cocky going into it, young squad, no baggage......felt they had a chance. Didn’t bet them mind.

But they have been as convincing as anyone in the tournament to date and now just look at their run in.

Following the first rest day of the tournament, the Last 16 begins today.

Saturday’s matches

France v Argentina, 3pm - Live on BBC
Uruguay v Portugal, 7pm - Live on ITV

France beat Argentina 4-3 in the first Last 16 match.

But late on this one, but Uruguay beat Portugal 2-1 to set up a quarter final tie with France.

Today will see the first Last 16 matches on the other half of the draw, with the winners of these two games meeting in the quarter finals.

Sunday’s matches

Spain v Russia, 3pm - Live on BBC
Croatia v Denmark, 7pm - Live on ITV

Huge shock as Spain are knocked out of the World Cup by Russia.

The match finished 1-1 after extra time, and the Russians win 4-3 on penalties.

Russia will play Croatia in the quarter finals after Croatia beat Denmark 3-2 on penalties. The match had finished 1-1.

Again, the winners of today’s Last 16 matches will play each other in the quarter finals.

Monday’s matches

Brazil v Mexico, 3pm - Live on ITV
Belgium v Japan, 7pm - Live on BBC

Brazil beat Mexico 2-0.

Belgium come back from two goals down to beat Japan 3-2.

They will meet Brazil in the quarter finals.

Tuesday - 3.00pm SWITZERLAND v SWEDEN ....And then 7.00pm COLOMBIA v ENGLAND .

Winners of today’s matches will play each other in the quarter finals.

After today, we have a two day break before the quarter-finals get underway on Friday.

Tuesday’s matches

Sweden v Switzerland, 3pm - Live on BBC
Colombia v England, 7pm - Live on ITV

Sweden beat Switzerland 1-0.

What happened to var looking at red card incidents! Columbian clearly head buts england player in chest and chin var looked at it only yellow!! Only suppose to give red in these types of incidents, Not 1st time its done this renaldo should have had red but got yellow what do they look at ?

No red card for me. Henderson made a meal of it feigning he was hurt.

At least it will give the non-biased pundits something to talk shite about.

So butting him in chest then lifting head into his chin is ok? Forget about feigning injury its the intent that is the rule and he clearly makes contact twice

Brazil are out of the World Cup.

Belgium beat them 2-1, and will face France in the semi-finals.
