Liverpool FC fans clamour for boss Jurgen Klopp to include Welsh wonderkid Harry Wilson in his first team plans for next season -

Friday 23rd March 2018

What a day for Harry Wilson.

A first start for Wales, an assist, and a brilliantly taken goal - all on his 21st birthday.

It was an evening he is likely to remember for the rest of his career, and his performance certainly didn't go unnoticed by fans, despite Gareth Bale stealing much of the limelight with typically brilliant hat-trick to break Ian Rush's international goalscoring record.

Rush is of course still held up as a legend by fans at former club Liverpool, where remains the club's all-time leading scorer after netting 346 goals during two separate spells on Merseyside.

Wales' China Cup campaign

He's hardly alone on the list of Welsh superstars idolised by the masses on the Kop at Anfield over the years and, judging by what fans saw of Wilson's performance at the Guangxi Sports Centre, he's not going to be the last.

Having so far found first team chances at a premium, the promising winger is currently on loan at Championship strugglers Hull City, where he's already scored three goals in seven appearances.

But, after watching his masterful display on Thursday, albeit against a very poor China side, many Reds fans are in no doubt that Wilson can produce the goods in the Premier League, with a large number taking to social media to urge boss Jurgen Klopp to include the youngster in his first team plans for next season.
