Because the Derby game hasn't been played and those who were attending now have the opportunity to return their tickets to the club for a full refund, therefor their ticket not counting

Seems unfair but I can see both sides of this situation :(

Villa will want to keep it to a minimum but it's okay. We'll still out sing them for 90 minutes!

City's 'away' contingent have never been short of voice! :ayatollah: :notworthy:

You ever been to a full house or near full house at Villa Park Sven?

Both Wolves and Blues have been totally drowned out by the home crowd there in recent weeks.

Every team in the country are vocal away from home. Don't underestimate the importance of this game to ourselves. If anything, it is more important to us as you can afford to draw or even lose and still get auto. If we fail to win this game, any lingering chances we had of auto will evaporate.

I've been to VP twice - once in the championship and once in the cup ( James Milner pen I think )
Both were loud with lots of empty seats so I can imagine the atmosphere!

Sounds like you're already putting an awful lot of pressure on your side already. Could the home crowd be a hinderence to the Villa cause. Hopefully :P

Horrible little club Vile and their fans really are a deluded unwashed nasty lot, more interested in abusing the away fans than watching the game. The stadium is awful as well, old fashioned and smelling of p@ss.
Apart from all of that though our fantastic passionate fans will help us to 3 points and put another nail in Vile's coffin :old: :bluebird:

The harsh facts are that we need to win at least 6, probably 7 out of our last 8 to gain auto. We HAVE to beat you. That is the reality and the pressure comes with it. Unless we win 2 out of Norwich & Hull away, Reading at home, we could be all but out of it by the time we play you.

You win 6 out of 9 and we can't catch you regardless, likewise win 5 and draw 2. That applies to Fulham as well. As I look at your game at Villa, it is no more important than any of the other 8 you have remaining. You just need to win 5 or 6 and it doesn't matter where.

The home crowd could be a hindrance the longer the score stays level or if you take the lead. This is probably normal anywhere but in such an important game, it will definitely creep onto the pitch.
