OVER 22,000 EXPECTED :thumbright: :bluebird:

Bristol City have sold their away allocation.

Its pay on the day for Cardiff fans :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

24/02/18
Paterson 'not training yet'

NEIL WARNOCK:
"Paterson isn’t training yet. I don’t know, that’s the answer to that. I don’t know if he’ll be okay for Sunday or not. He will definitely be okay for Brentford, I think. It’s not a serious thing, the brusing’s just come out and It’s just a matter of pain threshold for him, nothing serious, it’s his ankle. I don’t know about that until tomorrow.'

Good news on Morrison :thumbright: :thumbright:

NEIL WARNOCK:
"It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I thought that knowing our luck it would be six or seven weeks. The scan didn’t show anything, it’s a grade one so it’s a matter of days rather than weeks. It’s probably too soon for Sunday but I wouldn’t write him off knowing him. He was walking better yesterday and I think the scan results helped him as well."

Latest on Traore and Bennett

NEIL WARNOCK:
"Traore will be struggling. He has a little bit of a thigh problem. Joe Bennett had sickness and I’m expecting him to train, if not today then tomorrow. He’s a lot better and we’ve managed to restrict that. I think there’s only one lad has developed symptoms which isn’t too bad so that’s why I sent him home from Ipswich, to keep him away from the lads."

Gunnarsson and Bryson making progress

NEIL WARNOCK:
"Peltier is out for a month, a minimum of a month. Gunnarsson was training on the grass yesterday. We’re pleased with his progress, which is another plus. Bryson has reported no after effects, neither has Gary Madine. They’re getting on alright."

Team News

Bristol City will remain without long-term absentees: Jens Hegeler, Callum O’Dowda, Eros Pisano and Ivan Lulic, although Gary O’Neil’s return to competitive football is close after playing 70 minutes in an u23s fixture last Friday against Cardiff City but is unexpected to feature this weekend.

Midfielder Marlon Pack will miss the game also after picking his tenth yellow card in the last game and as result, is suspended for this Sunday’s game.

Joe Bennett stomach ache, but fit for Bristol City game

Lee Peltier out for a month

Jamie Ward out with groin injury.

Danny Ward out for the season.

Jazz Richards still not ready and injury still very sore.

Aron Gunnarsson still injured.

About Bristol City

Bristol City Football Club is a professional football club in Bristol, England. Their ground, Ashton Gate, is in the southwest of the city. They currently play in the Championship, the second tier of English football, after winning League One in the 2014–15 season, only the second team to win both the third-tier championship and Football League Trophy in the same season.

Bristol City won the Welsh Cup – despite being an English club – in 1934. In 1907 they finished runners-up in Football League Division One, their highest ever final position. In 1909, they lost their only FA Cup final to Manchester United. Since relegation in 1911, they only returned to the top division from 1976 to 1980 and did not contend for any honours then. In 1982, Bristol City became the first English club to suffer three consecutive relegations. They were promoted to the Football League Championship in the 2006–07 season after finishing second in League One but failed to make a second consecutive promotion to the Premier League after they were defeated by Hull City in the 2008 Football League Championship play-off Final at Wembley Stadium. With victories in 1986, 2003 and 2015, Bristol City are now the most successful team in the Football League Trophy.

The club's nickname is "The Robins", and a robin featured on the club's badge from 1976 to 1994. Official club merchandise, including replica kits, still has a label showing a robin. An attempt by the club to alter the badge was abandoned after it was criticised fiercely by fans. The team's main rivals are Bristol Rovers in the Bristol derby and Cardiff City in the Severnside derby, along with other teams in the West Country derby.

Bristol City's current manager is Lee Johnson, a former player who made 199 appearances for the club. His father, Gary, also managed the club and took City to the Championship play-off final in 2008, where they lost 1–0 to Hull City.

Previous Meeting

We lost 2-1 at Bristol City in November. Omar Bogle scores and got sent off. Callum O’Dowda and Aden Flint got the Bristol City goals.

I usually get it wrong;

City 2-1 Brizzle same score as over there with one of their players getting a Red card to boot!

3 pts however will be superb.

Form tends to go out of the window in these derby games. Have a feeling this one may end up all square - would'nt be the end of the world.

Bristol City Manager Lee Johnson:

Speaking of Neil Warnock and this Sunday’s meeting, Johnson said: “Every manager has a philosophy.

“They’ve got a lot of big strong physical lads and Neil has a philosophy that works in the Championship.

“The Championship means you can go from a beautiful game of football to a dogfight in a matter of days. It’s a derby and we want to win and we’ll do everything we can to get the three points.”

Pay on the day is asking for serious trouble. Bristol City fans can get into any part of the ground. The club have not thought this through. We should have given them the full allocation, at least then we would know that they are all in the same area of the ground which would be easier to control.

It wont sell out, they'll just keep opening more blocks as the demand dictates. You should try book online, in advance though, as just turning will limit your choice and maybe not getting 3 seats together. You just pick up the tickets from the collection booths but get there early as there could be a fair queue. An adult and 2 kids in the family stand today would be £ 25 plus booking. If you cant get in there on the day and have to go elsewhere in the ground you could easily pay £ 50 + quid. Online booking without match day increases can be done anytime up till midnight on Saturday.

iv purchased our tickets but I didn't realize until this evening that Bristol can buy tickets in our end without having to show ID, im worried that (especially with 2 young lads) given Bristol's previous record that there may be trouble. I cant believe they only allowed 1.5k fans when over double that wanted to travel.

Absolutely nothing to worry about.

May be the odd few in the home end, most will be well behaved and those who aren't will get turfed out quickly enough

thank you. maybe im just worrying over nothing. I wouldn't care if it was me on my own, but with my lads it would be awful. looking forward to the game though.

Where abouts are you sitting mate? I very much doubt they'll be anything to worry about. I expect the Bristol fans sat in the home end will be more worried about remaining invisible and unnoticed. When we were in the P league a few years back the amount of away fans sat in the home end - it seemed to happen all the time. The stewards are pretty on the ball from my experience so even if there were any trouble the person or people would be ejected from their seat immediately!
