“ Ken Choo speaks about Bellamy’s potential Oxford job “

BBC

Wednesday 21st February 2018

Bellamy is highly rated as a coach at Cardiff, with first-team manager Neil Warnock praising the former Wales captain.

The Bluebirds recognise Bellamy's managerial potential, and have given him permission to speak to Oxford.

"We want to facilitate Craig's opportunities to get experience," Cardiff chief executive Ken Choo told BBC Sport Wales.

"This could be a good move for his career."

Very strange thing to say considering bellers is supposed to have very little to do with city now? But does sound like he is a future city manager? :o

Thomas, for a very short tine he was DVP Manager, then in charge of All the Accademy, now shall we say part-time coach of our under 18’s.
I have heard They don’t need permission he can just go as he’s not really got a contract.

No I know he’s not in a contract that’s why Ken has come out with such a relaxed statement. If he was under contract it would likely be a more formal statement of acknowledgment along the lines of “Cardiff City Football Club can confirm...”

He’s down there quite a bit so I don’t think it’s such a strange statement from Ken. But to be fair I really did suspect Bellers would take over from NW so very interesting if he leaves!

Thomas,

What I thought was strange, as it was put out Bells would learn from Warnock, when have you ever seen Bellamy with Warnock's coaching staff at a first team game?

Let him do really well for the rest of the season, get promoted, see Warnock walk and pick him as his successor.
