I was brought up in Manchester in the 1960s and used to go to all the home games. I think we used to pay 5 shillings to go in the Stretford End(that's £0.25p for anybody under 60). Great value and great memories watching Best, Law and Charlton every week. Still got my 1968 European Cup Final Ticket, £2 face value.
I pay £299 for a seniors season ticket in the Grand Stand (£13 a game) and paid £20 for my Reading ticket on Monday night,
Championship football is still good value. It's only the top end of the Premiership where prices are crazy. Met a couple of Spurs fans recently paying £1250 each for a season ticket at Wembley.
