I don't agree with those ratings, but it goes to show how we all have different views on the game. Most on here only see things from a City point of view, and everything is viewed through blue tinted glasses. For example, there are plenty of comments regarding the ref and how he was not going to give our second goal. That's what I call watching a different match. The goal is on here for all to see. It was not a straightforward decision, he needed the help of technology to confirm the ball had crossed the line. From the time the ball actually crossed the line to the time he started to put the whistle to his mouth to signal the goal was two seconds. He never for one second looks like he is not going to allow the goal to stand, but because our fans blame him for us falling behind, they will blame him for every decision he makes irrespective of whether it is correct or wrong.

He had a bad game, no doubt about that. However, he was'nt the one who made mistakes at the back, or missed a few sitters up the other end. We will have refs in the future who will make dreadful decisions, but so will all the other teams. We just have to get on with it, the same as all the other teams, and if we are good enough, we will go up irrespective of how the refs perform.

I think they have thrown the names into one hat, a few numbers into another and then drawn them out to arrive at their ratings.

These are my ratings.

Thought all media were about unfair on NML, he was oft our only threat. Bogle did ok under difficult circumstances and a pretty flat midfield. Manga had a torrid time against Barrow until he switched to the middle after Morrison went off. Bamba was immense and made some great tackles and the last quarter of the game was bringing the ball forward. Bennett did ok and scored a super goal. None of our players deserved a 4 as some media outlets have indicated. It was a ropey performance until the last 20/25 minutes. I would love us to start with Tomlin Saturday and be a bit more ambitious at home.

Neil Etheridge - 5
Bruno Manga - 5
Sol Bamba - 7
Sean Morrison - N/A
Joe Bennett - 6
Callum Paterson - 5
Loic Damour - 6
Joe Ralls - 7
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - 7
Junior Hoilett - 7
Omar Bogle - 5

Lee Peltier - 6
Lee Tomlin - 7
Liam Feeney - N/A
